0-9 No entrenable El Congreso de los EE. UU.

ASVAB CEP test results are sent to students’ schools so they can explore career options with counselors. The scores show how well the student did on each subject, and how they compare with others who took the test. There are three composite scores in Verbal, Math, and Science and Technical skills, and the Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) score is also reported.

We took the diagnostic tests (all of them) and found so many errors it was appalling. For many of the arithmetic reasoning questions, the correct answer is not even listed, and when you look at the answer explanations, they are very odd. One told me that from 6:30 am to 11:15 am is five hours. Last time I checked, that's 4 hours and 45 minutes. The paragraph comprehension sections always have issues, and the word knowledge is ridiculous.

I’ve been in for 2 years now. If reading this book makes you feel better taking the test then by all means buy it. I bought it a while back before I joined and never read it and got 53 average score. You might be thinking “wow what an idiot” but I assure you if you are going in under any sort of open contract whether it be mechanical, electrical, or whatever you could get a 100% and still get a job you never wanted in the first place digging ditches like myself. I work with people who got much higher and much lower asvab scores. If you want to join you don’t need an amazing asvab score, and it doesn’t really mean anything unless you need a certain score for the job you want (which you might not get). You’ll understand soon enough.

The military offers boundless opportunities for people looking for a career in serving their country. The five branches of the military (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard) all have active, reserve, and guard units with jobs unique to each branch and level of commitment. The Auto and Shop Information section of the ASVAB test measures your knowledge of automobile technology and basic repairs. The shop questions are about basic wood and metals. For example, you will encounter questions such as “Shock absorbers on a car connect the axle to the: wheel, chassis, drive shaft, or exhaust pipe?” You may be asked what sanding blocks are used for, followed by the following choices: preventing high spots and ridges on sanded surfaces, preventing dirt from collecting on the sandpaper, stretching the length of sandpaper, or prolonging the use of the sandpaper. The CAT-ASVAB test has two parts: the first part covering automotive material asks 11 questions in 7 minutes; the 11 shop information questions are allotted 6 minutes. The paper-and-pencil version asks 25 questions in 11 minutes.
Focusing Your Study - As you take more and more sample tests you begin to get a feel for the topics that you know well and the areas that you are weak on.  Many students waste a lot of valuable study time by reviewing material that they are good at (often because it is easier or makes them feel better).  The most effective way to study is to concentrate on the areas that you need help on.

Use this book as a guide especially for the word knowledge portion of the asvab, it has a great primer on understanding words that may be unknown to you without having to use a dictionary. The material in the math section of this book however didn't cover what was on the actual exam at Ft. Meade in the testing center. The actual test had many more basic arithmetic reasoning questions rather than algebraic questions involving formulas, coordinates, or inequalities. I think you'll purchase this book and realize that you know more than you think you do. Got a 92 btw on the ASVAB AFQT. Overall this book really helped with word knowledge.

The ASVAB test can be taken at your school or a MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Stations) or MET (Mobile Examination Test) sites.  When the ASVAB is administered at your school, it is usually part of the Student Testing Program or Career Exploration Program.  When the ASVAB is given at MEPS or MET sites, it is part of the Enlistment Testing Program.  The ASVAB test content is the same no matter where you take it, except that you will not have to take the Assembling Objects test if you take the test at your school (as part of the Student Testing Program).  When you take the test in the Student Testing Program you will receive three composite scores (Verbal Skills, Math Skills, and Science and Technical Skills).  When you take the ASVAB as part of the Enlistment Testing Program, you will receive an AFQT (Armed Forces Qualification Test) score and Service composite scores.  These scores are used for assigning your military job.
Every single individual that wishes to serve this country is without a doubt a brave person that deserves respect. These practice tests are offered because everyone wants to see these soldiers follow their dreams. Additionally, the nation as a whole firmly believe that those honorable individuals should not be held back because of their inability to recall some pieces of information. This nation does not just dream about making a difference.
